Nothing renews automatically. When the period ends, you decide whether to continue. That is deliberate: Saudi users asked for membership without surprise charges.

Gold does not replace pickup. If you collect in store you already pay no delivery fee. Gold is for people who deliver often and want the queue for support to be shorter.
